Co-founder of King Crimson brings his Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists to Bellingham

Robert Fripp, an English guitarist and composer and founder of the Guitar Craft, The League of Crafty Guitarists and the Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists, will lead the orchestra in concert at 8 p.m. Friday, May 23, at First Congregational Church, 2401 Cornwall Ave.

Fripp co-founded King Crimson and has collaborated with David Bowie, Brian Eno, Peter Gabriel and David Byrne. His course, Guitar Craft, began in 1985 and spawned the performance group, The League of Crafty Guitarists, which has released several albums.

The Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists, the latest manifestation of Fripp's creativity, has performed in Spain, Italy, Argentina, Boston, New York City and Seattle.
