Violinist Margot Schwartz performs in a benefit for the Bellingham Festival of Music at 7 p.m. Friday, May 23, at Mount Baker Theatre's Encore Room, 104 N. Commercial St.

The recital will include works by Bach, Mozart, Schubert and Brahms, with piano accompanist Tanya Stambuk. The evening includes appetizers, wine and dessert. Tickets, $50, must be purchased in advance. Call 360-319-5720.

Schwartz is a member of the first violin section of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and is in the first violin section of the Bellingham Festival of Music Orchestra. In the past, she has organized and presented free chamber music performances at Mallard Ice Cream during the festival. Details: bellinghamfestival.org.
