'Memphis' musical comes to Mount Baker Theatre


From the underground dance clubs of 1950s Memphis comes "Memphis," a Broadway musical about a club singer who is ready for her big break and a radio DJ who wants to change the world.

The touring show is staged at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, May 20-21, at Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N. Commercial St. Inspired by actual events, "Memphis" is the winner of four 2010 Tony Awards, including best musical.

The show contains mature subject matter. Tickets, $30 to $69, are at 360-734-6080, mountbakertheater.com.
