Bellingham wins blowout to end season


Eliza Rossman had 11 strikeouts in a complete-game two-hitter to lead the Bellingham softball team to a 13-1 non-conference win over Concrete on Thursday, May 15, in Concrete.

Rossman only walked four batters and did not give up an earned run in the Red Raiders' regular-season finale. Rossman also went 2 for 4 with a double and three RBI.

"She finished the season strong," Bellingham coach Rick Ellis said in a phone interview. "Everybody got in on the act. We only had one girl without a hit."

Bellingham piled on 15 hits in the win. Lindsey Richard went a perfect 4 for 4 with four runs scored. Paige Jacobson went 1 for 5 with a 4-run double.
