Lyle Wilson to discuss his Whatcom Museum exhibit of Northwest Coast native art


Lyle Wilson, who has spent years exploring Northwest Coast native painting, talks about the work in his current exhibit, "Paint," at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2 at Whatcom Museum's Old City Hall, 121 Prospect St.

Wilson's career includes a 20-year association with the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia. A well-known Haisla artist, his art includes paintings, drawings, prints, jewelry and carvings. Wilson infuses traditional form-line art elements with his own inventive approach.
