Whatcom Symphony Orchestra's Family Concert free for youths

Whatcom Symphony Orchestra's annual Family Concert on Sunday, May 18, features "Carnival of the Animals" by Saint Saëns, performed by duo pianists Dan and Victoria Sabo and narrated by Billy Tierney from The Upfront Theatre

The program at Bellingham High School, 2020 Cornwall Ave., also includes Brahms' Hungarian Dances 5 and 6.

Pre-concert activities begin at 2 p.m. with an instrument petting zoo, and WSO maestro Yaniv Attar demonstrating how to conduct. The performance begins at 3 p.m.

The event is free for youths 18 and younger; suggested donation for adults is $10. Details: whatcomsymphony.com.
