Welding Rodeo in Bellingham is May 16-17

Bellingham Technical College will hold its annual Welding Rodeo at the campus, 3028 Lindbergh Ave., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16-17. Admission is free.

Each team strategizes designs, fabricates and welds a finished sculpture in two days.

There will be a hands-on welding booth led by an experienced student welder, information on the welding program, and a barbecue, with proceeds supporting student club activities.
