Roth, Red Raiders cruise past field of six


Bellingham's boys' golf team continued its Northwest Conference dominance with a win over a field of six on Monday, May 12, at North Bellingham Golf Course.

The Red Raiders were led by Cody Roth, who's 72 barely topped Lynden's Ezra Arneson, who shot a 73.

Roth was one of three Red Raiders to break 80. The other two were Nick Nolan (76) and Ben Henrickson (79).

Lynden finished the day in second in the tournament with a team score of 420. Aside from Arneson they had strong 85s from Collin Bradley and Tore Olson.

Ferndale finished the day in third bolstered by Tanner Lester's 80. Sedro-Woolley finished the day in fourth and Mount Baker finished fifth. Baker's Kenneth Wilson was among the standout performers of the day with his 76.

Burlington-Edison's score will be finalized tomorrow. With the five golfers that finished today, the Tigers would be tied with Baker at 453.
