Adventure race will be filled with obstacles

May 11, 2014

The STAR Center’s Adventure Race will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday. Race participants will be faced with obstacles to jump over, crawl under and run backward around, according to a Metro Parks Tacoma news release. The 2-mile trek is meant to get the entire family involved in a challenge-filled outdoor activity.

The cross-country race will follow the trails on the SERA campus and finishes at STAR Center, 3873 S. 66th St., Tacoma.

After the race, there will be additional family activities inside the center.

No dogs or strollers are allowed because of the obstacles on the course.

Registration is $10 in advance and $20 the day of the race. The fee includes a blinking safety flasher and finisher ribbon. You can register at metroparkstacoma.org/adventure-race.
