Errors doom Bellingham softball

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 9, 2014

Bellingham's softball team committed six errors and took a 15-2 loss in five innings to Burlington-Edison on Friday, May 9, at Bellingham.

Paige Jacobson had the only two Bellingham hits. Linsey Richard scored both runs and Eliza Rossman had the two RBI for the Red Raiders.

"It was a tough one. They weren't ready and that goes on me," Bellingham coach Rick Ellis said in a phone interview. "It was good to see Paige get a couple of hits. She's been a fairly steady contact hitter for us."

Bellingham looks to bounce back at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Nooksack Valley.
