-- A new co-working space will have a community open house from noon-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 15.

It’s called The Workspace and is on the corner of Potter and Ellis streets in Bellingham. Operated by Mimi Osterdahl, the goal is to provide low-cost, communal, and convenient work facilities that foster a sense of community.

By gathering early stage businesses, entrepreneurs and other professionals, the idea is to create opportunities through a network of individuals, according to the company’s Facebook page.

-- Flip, a new children's consignment store, is scheduled to open on Saturday, May 10. It is next to ReStyle Consignment in the Meridian Plaza (near Denny's). According to a post on Facebook, Flip is currently taking consignment items.

-- Walker’s Healthy Pet has moved into a new, bigger space at 4131 Hannegan Road. It had previously been in the Barkley District. It’s open every day; for details about the company, visit www.walkershealthypet.net.

-- The Star Club at 311 E. Holly St. is also now open. According to its Facebook page, hours are 4 p.m. to midnight every day.
