Another strong meet for Sehome boys

Sehome's boys' track and field team won six of the 10 track events at a meet against Blaine, Lynden Christian and Squalicum on Thursday, May 8, at Civic Stadium.

The Mariners' Daniel Ziegler took the 100 with a time of 11.1 seconds and Noah Ringler won the 400 in 54.2. The 4x100 relay team won with a 45.4.

"On the boys' side, Ziegler stood out in the 100 and bringing it home in the 4x100," Sehome coach Kevin Ryan said in a phone interview. "We're trying to get the kids sharp and figure out where we're going to put things for districts."

Squalicum took wins in the rest of the track events, including Chris Fredlund's 1,600 win with a 4:37.9 and Hunter Hanlon's 15.7 in the 110 hurdles.

Blaine got a win in the long jump from Steven Crafts at 19 feet, 7.25 inches, and Gage Lott won the pole vault with an 11-06.

Lynden Christian's sole winner was Logan Carlson in the javelin with a throw of 126-09.
