Miller, Heezen win two events for Trojans

Meridian's Nick Miller won both the 200 and 400 as the boys' track and field team competed against Nooksack Valley and Burlington-Edison on Thursday, May 8, at Burlington-Edison.

Miller ran a 24.08-second 200 and won the 400 by almost a second with a 53.40.

Chase Gibson's 11.72 in the 100 completed the Trojans' sweep of the sprints.

Nooksack Valley's lone victor for the meet was its 4x400 relay team, which ran a 3:56.61.

Meridian's Kaleb Heezen won the shot put with a 45-foot, 7-inch throw. He also threw a 156-03 in the javelin to win the event.
