Hansen ties for 36th at West Super Regional


Western Washington University women's golfer Kristen Hansen had a rough final round and tied for 36th at the NCAA Division II West Super Regional that ended Wednesday at the Walnut Creek Country Club in Mansfield, Texas.

Hansen, a sophomore from Spokane, shot 90 for a 54-hole total of 253 after rounds of 82 and 81, respectively, the first two days.

Hansen was among 48 golfers competing in the tournament. The top three teams and the top three individuals not with an advancing team qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships on May 14-17 at Conover, N.C.
