Gary Stroutsos, a master of the Native American flute, will perform a Mother's Day concert of love songs from the American Indian musical tradition at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Jansen Art Center, 321 Front St., Lynden.

Gary Stroutsos, a master of the Native American flute, will perform a Mother's Day concert of love songs from the American Indian musical tradition at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 11, at Jansen Art Center, 321 Front St., Lynden.

The performance includes a Dakota song, "Cherished Grandmother," to pay tribute to all of the mothers and grandmothers in attendance.

Stroutsos' romantic musical style has made him internationally known, with performances at the White House and an appearance on the "Dr. Phil" show.
