Lions' senior duo impresses

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 6, 2014

Lynden's girls' tennis team couldn't keep up with Burlington-Edison and lost 5-2 in a Northwest Conference game on Tuesday, May 6, at Lynden YMCA.

The Lions (3-12, 1-6 NWC) got a win from the senior duo of Rachel Wiles and Emily Thies at No. 3 doubles.

"I was proud of the third doubles team," Lynden coach Trey Ballard said in a phone interview. "They played hard and were focused. They listened to what I had to say and went out and did it. They did a really good job."

Lynden faces Sehome on Wednesday, May 7, at Sehome.
