Bradley Lake Park derby set for May 17

The 65th annual kid’s fishing derby at Bradley Lake Park in Puyallup is scheduled for May 17. The free event is open to all children ages 13 and younger.

There will be prizes, food and refreshment, in addition to the chance to catch a rainbow trout. Families should bring their own fishing gear if they have it, but some loaner gear will be available.

Sponsored by the Tacoma Sportsmen’s Club, the derby will run from 7 a.m.-noon.
