Repairs will halt Lummi Island ferry May 9

LUMMI ISLAND - Whatcom Chief, the Lummi Island Ferry, will be out of service for repairs to the dock lifting mechanism from 11:20 p.m. Friday, May 9, to 7 a.m. the next day, according to the Whatcom County Public Works Department.

The last evening run from Lummi Island will be at 11 p.m.; the last run from Gooseberry Point will be at 11:10 p.m.

The inspection and maintenance work depends on the weather, so the date and times may change. Details: 360-715-7450.
