Comments sought on 150-foot cell tower east of Birch Bay

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 4, 2014

BIRCH BAY - Public comments are being taken this month on a proposed 150-foot cell tower that would be built near the Kickerville Road-Bay Road intersection.

Verizon Wireless is negotiating with the Birch Bay Water and Sewer District to put the tower on land the district owns near the intersection, said Dan Eisses, the district's assistant general manager. The deal isn't finalized, but under the terms currently being discussed Verizon would pay the district $1,250 a month, Eisses said in an interview.
