Lynden Christian received goals from Levi Van Weerdhuizen, Cody Fransen and Trevor Kamena, as the Lyncs earned a 3-0 win during a non-conference win over Friday Harbor on Saturday, May 3, at Friday Harbor.

"It was a great, focused effort today," LC coach Brent De Ruyter said in a phone interview. "I thought our team settled down and really possessed the ball well."

Following Van Weerdhuizen's goal in the 10th minute, Fransen scored in the 50th off an assist from Justin Brester, who De Ruyter praised for his play at outside mid, to give LC a 2-0 advantage. Three minutes later, Kamena caught Friday Harbor's keep too far out from his goal and sent a chip shot from 35 yards out over his head and into the goal to seal the win.

The game ended LC's regular season. Up next for the Lyncs is the Class 1A District Tournament, which begins next week.
