Lyncs offense puts up 14 runs

The Lynden Christian softball team put up 15 hits in a 14-3 win over Friday Harbor on Saturday, May 3, at Friday Harbor in a non-league game.

Shelby Brown led the offensive attack for the Lyncs, going 3 for 4 with a two-run home run in the second inning.

"That was just scorched," Lynden Christian coach Mitch Moorlag said in a phone interview.

Livi and Lexi Vander Griend both had two hits, with Lexi knocking two doubles.

Kasey Luna picked up the win in the circle, throwing all six innings while striking out six and walking none.

"She did a great job of letting our defense play behind her," Moorlag said.

Lynden Christian (8-6, NWC 2-5) travels to Sedro-Woolley on Monday, May 5, for an NWC matchup.
