School: Ferndale

Sport: Softball

Year: Junior

What she did: Maley has led Ferndale to a 15-1 overall record, and her performance both in the circle and at the plate is a big reason for the Golden Eagles' success. She entered play this past week hitting .448, accounting for five doubles and two home runs this year.

Coach's quote: "The improvement on the mound and at the plate this year is a testament to Lauren's perseverance and hard work that she has put into her offseason training. She leads by example and as a captain, you can't ask for more than that from your leader. Off the field, Lauren is involved in our leadership program and a co-chairperson of our bi-annual blood drive." - Holly Hilton


School: Squalicum

Sport: Baseball

Year: Junior

What he did: Little had a strong week for the league-leading Squalicum Storm. He batted .500, scored seven runs, drove in five more and had two doubles and two stolen bases.

Coach's quote: "Kyle has been an offensive catalyst for the Storm during a stretch that has seen us win eight straight games and clinch at least a tie for the conference title. Kyle produces with his bat, glove and legs for our team, continuing to show growth at the plate and in the field." - John Inge
