THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 2, 2014

Sehome track and field's Drew Norvell won two events to lead the Mariners to a 76-69 win over Meridian on Thursday, May 1, at Meridian.

Norvell threw a 49-foot, two-inch shot put and a 148-10 discus for Sehome.

Daniel Ziegler continued his dominance in the sprints, winning the 100 in 11.25 seconds.

"For this time of year some things went well," Sehome coach Kevin Ryan said in a phone interview. "The kids had to get used to the weather change, and you see good sprint times with that. Zeigler looked great."

Marcus McGuinn won the 300 hurdles with a 44.41 and helped the 4x400 relay team to a win in 3:49.19. Also running the winning relay team were Nick Miller, Daniel Young and Kent Zander.
