Sehome pitching duo combines for perfect game

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 2, 2014

Jake Albert and Felix Zavisubin combined to throw a perfect game, leading Sehome's baseball team to a 10-0 Northwest Conference win in five innings over Meridian on Friday, May 2, at Sehome.

"It's as clean a scoresheet as I've ever seen," Sehome coach Gary Hatch said in a phone interview.

Albert and Zavisubin threw a combined 30 strikes and nine balls to first-year varsity catcher Owen Wright.

"We told guys if we can get a decent lead we would let Jake go to the third so we have him for Monday," Hatch said. "Then we brought Felix in and they were both equally, unbelievably impressive."

Brady Moore took the loss for the Trojans.

Albert, Josh Zavisubin, Wright and Felix Zavisubin each went 1 for 3 with an RBI for Sehome. Drew Lomsdalen was 2 for 3 with an RBI and Davis Hampton went 1 for 2 with a double.
