Bellingham rides hit parade to win over Pioneers

Bellingham's baseball team piled 15 hits on Nooksack Valley and took a 13-3 win in five innings in a Northwest Conference game Friday, May 2, at Bellingham.

Charlie Carmichael was 2 for 4 with a double and four RBI for the Red Raiders. Dante Check went a perfect 3 for 3 with two RBI, and Alex Richard went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI.

"We had a rough stretch recently, so it was good to see the kids come out well," Bellingham coach David Farrell said in a phone interview. "We went to the dish with a plan and they put the game in motion."

Dalton Biehle took the loss for Nooksack Valley, but went 2 for 2 with a run scored on offense. Noah Rawls went 1 for 3 with an RBI.

Bellingham plays next at 4 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Ferndale. Nooksack Valley's next game is at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Lynden Christian.
