Borderites continue to struggle

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDMay 2, 2014

Blaine's baseball team finished it's regular season on a low note, losing to Sedro-Woolley 9-0 in a Northwest Conference game on Friday, May 2, at Janicki Fields.

"We're still a work in progress," Blaine coach Sean Linville said in a phone interview. "Today was just a lump in the road that we got to learn from."

The Borderites had a runner in scoring position every inning but went 0 for 8 once they got the runner on.

Blaine finished the regular season with a 5-15 overall record, went 1-11 in the NWC and are locked into the No. 5 seed in the 1A district tournament.

"Starting on Tuesday, no matter you're record in the season, you're 0-0," Linvilel said. "On any given day, anything can happen. That's the attitude we got to take."
