Readings of 'The Vagina Monologues' benefit Bellingham YWCA

Bellingham YWCA and Womencare Shelter host a reading of Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues," a riveting play about women's experiences, at Silver Reef Casino, 4876 Haxton Way, Ferndale, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 5, and Thursday, May 8.

The performances feature 16 Whatcom County women, ages 20 to 70, and is part of the international V-Day's campaign, One Billion Rising for Justice, to support women survivors of violence and those around them.

Tickets, available through Brown Paper Tickets, are $20 for Monday's performance and $75 for the gala performance Thursday. Proceeds benefit Bellingham YWCA. Details: 360-734-4820.
