The Kathy Kallick Band, whose "Time" is her 17th album, plays original and classic bluegrass at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at the YWCA ballroom, 1026 N. Forest St.

Kallick has won a Grammy and two International Bluegrass Music awards for her part on "True Life Blues: The Songs of Bill Monroe."

She has appeared on three Rounder collections of bluegrass songs by women; written and recorded award-winning music for children and families; toured North America, Europe, and Japan; and collaborated with top acoustic musicians, including her current band: Annie Staninec on fiddle and vocals; Tom Bekeny on mandolin and vocals; Greg Booth on dobro, banjo and vocals; and Cary Black on acoustic bass and vocals.
