Borderites pull out victory

Blaine's girls' tennis team squeaked out a 3-2 victory over Friday Harbor on Thursday, May 1, at Friday Harbor.

In the Borderites' three wins, they only dropped three games. Alex Henderson, Saskia Dolk and the duo of Caylie and Caitlyn Sharp all picked up victories.

"The matches we won, we won very convincingly," Blaine coach John Freal said in a phone interview. "They all played well."

Blaine tried out some new players at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and it cost, Freal said.

Blaine (3-10, 1-5 NWC) faces Bellingham on Monday, May 5, on the road.
