Lyncs top Trojans on final-inning error

Lynden Christian scored on a dropped fly ball in the sixth inning to take a 5-4 Northwest Conference win over Meridian on Wednesday, April 30, at Meridian.

Drake Likkel went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored for the Lyncs.

David Anderson took the loss for Meridian, but didn't give up an earned run as the Trojans committed six errors.

"We let him down defensively, just routine plays," Meridian coach Steve Slesk said in a phone interview.

Jamison Hodge went 1 for 1 with a run for the Trojans.

Lynden Christian plays at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Squalicum. Meridian plays at 4 p.m. Friday, May 2, at Sehome.
