Blackhawks pile on runs, beat Darrington 14-9


The Lummi baseball team rebounded from a two-run deficit to earn a 14-9 win against Darrington on Wednesday, April 30, at Lummi.

Blackhawks pitcher James Lawrence pitched four innings and earned the win, and Lummi's offense compiled 12 hits and recorded four three-run innings.

"It was a good game for us," Lummi coach Jim Sandusky said in a phone interview. "We scored in almost every inning."

Charlie Wilson, Austin Brockie and Dean Williams each had two hits, and Free Borsey was 1 for 1 with two RBI.

Lummi improved its record to 6-5.
