Kiele picks up win for Borderites

Blaine's softball team topped Friday Harbor 12-4 on Monday, April 28, at Pipeline Fields.

Hanna Kiele picked up the win for the Borderites by pitching the first two innings.

"Our hitting went really well," Blaine coach Alisa Burk said in a phone interview. "Our bats helped turn the game around a little bit. We played good defense and had excellent baserunning."

Jolee Russell pitched the third inning for Blaine, striking out three, and Lexi Greguski pitched four innings to close it out.

"She was able to get in a groove," Burk said.

Blaine (8-5, 4-3 NWC) plays Sehome on Tuesday, April 29, on the road.
