Mariners hit three home runs, Kruzich snags win

Sehome's softball team scored three runs in back-to-back innings and Mallory Kruzich guided her team to a 7-3 win over Archbishop Murphy on Monday, April 28, at Sehome.

The Mariners hit three home runs in the game - two by Morgan Henry and one by Kruzich. Henry also added three RBI.

"We had good contact. We put the ball in play," Sehome coach Jim Emerson said in a phone interview.

Kruzich pitched seven innings, allowing only two hits - both in the first inning - and striking out five. She allowed three runs, only one of which was earned. The two runs for Archbishop Murphy in the fourth came from two Sehome errors.

"She pitched smart," Emerson said. "Except for those two errors, we played good defense."

Sehome (5-8, 4-3 NWC) faces Blaine on Tuesday, April 29, at home.
