San Juan Cruises to offer trip to La Conner

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 28, 2014

BELLINGHAM - San Juan Cruises will kick-off its 2014 season by adding a new trip to go along with its regular voyages.

This year the company will offer a La Conner/Deception Pass cruise that starts in Bellingham. It'll stop in La Conner where passengers can get in some shopping. The return trip includes going under the Deception Pass Bridge.

The regular lineup for this year includes whale watching in the San Juan Islands; cracked crab dinner cruises; beer and wine tasting cruises; Sucia Island picnic trips; bird-watching excursions and a Bellingham waterfront development tour.

Tours begin on Saturday, May 3, and go through the summer.

The trips to La Conner are done on the 50-foot M/V Salish Sea, starting in Fairhaven, while many of the other trips are on the Victoria Star 2. For details on the tours or the company, visit whales.com.
