Two upcoming talks about why WWU should divest from fossil fuels


BELLINGHAM - Students at Western Washington University will host two discussions on why WWU should divest from fossil fuels.

The Students for Renewable Energy Club wants WWU to join the movement of universities removing their investments from the fossil fuel industry.

The free presentations will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at the RE Sources Sustainable Living Center, 2309 Meridian Ave., and 5 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in WWU Communication Facility, room 105.

Jill MacIntyre Witt, of and The Climate Reality Project, will talk about the basics of divestment from fossil fuels.
