The Nooksack Valley softball team defeated its alumni 10-1 on Saturday, April 26.

Alexis Pike picked up the win in the circle after her club plated eight runs in the first three innings off Erika Ramstead.

They added two more in the sixth to seal the win.

Arlissa Oettel, Brianna Turner and Kayla Struiksma all had two hits apiece for the Pioneers. For the alumni, Amanda Owens and Kasey Simonsen had a pair of hits each.

“It’s fun both ways. Good to have all those former players come back,” Nooksack Valley coach Tom Harmon said in a phone interview. “We were a little bit better with the bats today. Kids are feeling pretty good about their swings.”
