Nooksack commits five errors in loss

Nooksack Valley’s baseball team couldn’t overcome five errors in an 8-1 loss to Burlington-Edison on Friday, April 25, at Burlington-Edison in a Northwest Conference game.

“It’s pretty simple,” Nooksack coach Scott Gelwicks said in a phone interview. “We had six hits, they had four. We walked five, they walked seven.

We had five errors, they had one. If we can stop making errors, we can win ball games.”

Tanner Myhre went 3 for 3 in the game. Dalton Biehle pitched four innings on the mound, striking out five in the loss.

“He pitched well,” Gelwicks said.

Nooksack (6-8, 2-6 NWC) plays Anacortes on Monday, April 28, on the road.
