WCC event features veteran, artist collaborations

BELLINGHAM - People can meet the artists and veterans behind a collaborative art project that creates new art about war and service during an event Monday, April 28, at Whatcom Community College.

The project, known as VetArt, brought together veterans and artists of seemingly disparate backgrounds to work together in a variety of mediums on artwork about how war affects people.

The free event runs 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the Syre Student Center.

The VetArt project artwork also will be on display during May in one of the Heiner Center's glass display cases.
