Red Raiders fall in seventh

Bellingham's baseball team took a one-run lead into the ninth but fell to Sedro-Woolley 6-5 in a Northwest Conference game on Wednesday, April 23, at Bellingham.

Brad Johnson allowed two runs in the top of the seventh to take the loss, but struck out four in the game.

"He really battled," Bellingham coach David Farrell said in a phone interview. "He did a good job for us."

Bellingham got 10 hits on the day and plated three runs in the sixth inning to take the lead.

"The middle of our lineup did a great job today," Farrell said. "I was real proud of the way they played."

Bellingham (8-8, 5-3 NWC) plays Anacortes on Friday, April 25, at home.
