Sehome scores early and often in win

THE BELLINGHAM HERALDApril 23, 2014

Sehome's baseball team poured on the runs in an 11-3 win over Blaine in a Northwest Conference game on Wednesday, April 23, at Pipeline Fields.

The Mariners benefited from a six-run fifth inning to pull away.

"They swung the bats," Blaine coach Sean Linville said in a phone interview. "We're just learning how to compete and get guys out."

Jake Albert was credited with the win.

"There's been some good things, but in the end not enough to be able to win," Linville said.

Sehome (10-6, 5-3 NWC) faces Lynden on Monday, April 28, at home. Blaine (4-11, 0-7 NWC) plays Squalicum on Friday, April 25, on the road.
