Lyncs' softball blanks La Conner

Lynden Christian's softball team shut out La Conner and took an 8-0 non-conference win on Wednesday, April 23, at La Conner.

Allison Smit got the win for the Lyncs, striking out seven in seven innings while only allowing three hits and two walks.

"Our offense started a little slow. We were hitting it hard, but right at people early," Lynden Christian coach Mitch Moorlag said in a phone interview.

Kasey Luna went 3 for 4 with a triple for Lynden Christian. Lexi Vander Griend was 2 for 4 with three RBI. The Lyncs didn't commit an error in the game.

Lynden Christian plays next at 4 p.m. Friday, April 25, at Burlington-Edison.
