Bellingham's Fitness Gear & Training is celebrating its 25th anniversary with prizes as well as donations to the Wounded Warrior Project and Bellingham Food Bank.

The celebration runs from Thursday, April 24 through Saturday, May 31 at its new facility on 1605 N.State St., near Village Lighting.

A portion of sales will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project, which serves wounded veterans and service members. The company will also host a food drive.

Owner Bob Palmer stated the business as Fairhaven Health & Nutrition in 1989. He bought Locker Fitness Systems in 1992 and moved to Sehome Village under the Fitness Gear name.

Palmer's son Zac became general manager in 2004 and began offering personal training services.
