Arneson leads Lynden on rough day

Ezra Arneson took the medalist position with an even 72 at Homestead Golf Course and his Lynden boys' golf team scored a 419 to win the match Tuesday, April 22, at Homestead.

"It was a tough course and there weren't too many scores in the 70s today," Lynden coach Russ Dorr said in a phone interview. "Ezra's round was excellent considering he only had one bogey. He was cruising at 1-under for awhile."

Kenneth Wilson's 76 led second place Mount Baker, which had a 434. Ferndale took third with 453, led by Daniel Erickson's 81.

Squalicum was fifth with 464, led by Tavo O'Connell's 84.
