Local authors string together poems at Village Books in Bellingham

In celebration of poetry this month, Village Books will feature five published local poets as part of SpeakEasy's "String Theory" event at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Village Books, 1200 11th St.

Local authors Luther Allen, Allen Frost, Nancy Pagh, Paul Piper, and Sheila Sondik will "string" poems together based on some common element from the preceding poem.

The common thread might be theme, topic, a word or phrase, or style -- something that gives birth to the selection of the next poem. Poems will be read in a round-robin format.
