Jazz singer Champian Fulton performs at Sudden Valley

New York jazz singer and pianist Champian Fulton will perform in the next Jazz Series for Sudden Valley concert at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Sudden Valley Dance Barn.

The next Jazz Series for Sudden Valley concert is 3 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Sudden Valley Dance Barn, with New York jazz singer and pianist Champian Fulton.

She will perform on the baby grand recently purchased by Friends of the Sudden Valley Library, and will be accompanied by Vancouver, B.C., tenor sax player Corey Weed and by Bellingham drummer Jud Sherwood.

Coming up in the series:

- June 7: Dan Brubeck plays a tribute to his father, Dave Brubeck, and his mother, Ilona.

- Sept. 27: Miles Black and Greta Matassa perform the music of Count Basie and Duke Ellington.

Nov. 15: Josephine Howell joins Kareem Kandi.

Tickets, $20 for individual concert and $70 for the series, are available at Village Books, Sudden Valley Community Center, Sudden Valley administration office and suddenvalleylibrary.org.
