Squalicum boys' soccer scores nine goals

Tyler Hughes had two goals and an assist for Squalicum's boys' soccer team, as it earned a 9-0 win over Nooksack Valley on Monday, April 21, at Nooksack Valley Elementary.

Zack Daniels and Alden Sundean added a goal and an assist for the Storm.

"Nooksack was better than the score suggests," Squalicum coach Joe McAuliffe said in a phone interview. "They had a couple of good opportunities (to score)."

Levi Van Wingerden had 15 saves for the Pioneers.

Squalicum takes on Blaine at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Northwest Soccer Park. Nooksack Valley plays next at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Burlington-Edison.
