Lynden's Emily Ming wins medalist, Mount Baker wins team title


Lynden's Emily Ming fired an 87 to top all other competitors by a dozen strokes or more in a golf tournament on Monday, April 21, at Avalon Golf Course.

Sedro-Woolley's Casidy Brown was the next closest competitor to Ming with a 99.

Lynden finished fourth in the six-team event. Mount Baker won the team event with a 544, 60 strokes better than Ferndale. Sedro-Woolley took third, Sehome took fifth and Meridian took sixth.

Erika Henderson's 100 led the Mountaineers, who had the third, fourth and fifth place individual finishers.

Ferndale's Cienna Semsak led her team with a 112, Sehome's team featured Hannah Peterson's 105 and Anna Ratzlaff led Meridian with a 128.
