Sam Willis nets three, Sehome rolls

Sam Willis scored his second hat trick of the season and Sehome's boys' soccer team rolled to a 4-0 win over Blaine in a Northwest Conference match on Monday, April 21, at Pipeline Fields.

Willis scored in the 12th, 17th and 47th minutes.

"He's really coming into his own as a goal scorer," Sehome coach John Sylvester said in a phone interview. "He even got a couple with his head and we've been working on heading so I'm pleased to see him do well."

Sehome's other goal came in the 77th minute after Jack Willis drew a penalty kick and Jesse Haggen took it and scored.

"Kevin Sun and Jack Willis came in and brought great energy," Sylvester said. "Blaine is a really improved team from last year. It took all our effort to put them away."

Sehome (7-2-3, 5-2-1 NWC) faces Lynden on Friday, April 25, at Northwest Soccer Park. Blaine (4-5-2, 2-5-1 NWC) plays Squalicum on Wednesday, April 23, at Northwest Soccer Park.
