Sehome baseball blanks Bellingham

Josh Zavisubin struck out six and only allowed three hits as his Sehome baseball team topped Bellingham 5-0 in a Northwest Conference game on Monday, April 21, at home.

Zavisubin was also 2 for 3 with an RBI and a double. He only allowed one walk on the mound and had two pickoffs.

"He shut down the running game pretty well," Sehome coach Gary Hatch said in a phone interview. "This was probably his best outing, he wasn't in much trouble all day long. Owen Wright called a very good game at catcher, he is developing nicely."

Dante Check, Bobby Cooke and Ryan Fox all went 1 for 3 for the Red Raiders.

Gage Bull went 2 for 3 with three RBI for the Mariners.

Sehome's next game is at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Pipeline Fields against Blaine. Bellingham hosts Sedro-Woolley at 4:30 p.m. Wedneday, April 23, at home.
