Bellingham tennis hands Sedro-Woolley first league loss


Bellingham's girls' tennis team battled to a 5-2 win over Sedro-Wooley in a Northwest Conference match on Monday, April 21, at Sedro-Woolley.

Kara Burns returned to singles after a sprained ankle has kept her from competing in singles for the past couple weeks.

"She looked really good," Bellingham coach Steve Chronister said in a phone interview.

Ruby Parker also won her match at No. 4 singles.

"She didn't miss very many balls. She was moving around smart," Chronister said.

Bellingham (9-2, 2-1 NWC) faces Burlington-Edison on Wednesday, April 23, at home.
